1967 Mustang Fastback 390

Factory S Code Big Block

Not quite a barn find. Maybe more like a "carport find". This '67 Mustang fastback has been sitting for a long time in a state of dis-assembly. It's one of those attempted restorations that never picked up steam. The previous owner even went as far as rebuilding the original 390-GT engine, but never got it to the point of starting.
Granted it's in pretty rough shape, but certainly worth the effort to restore for several reasons. The most obvious is that it's a factory big block car. The 1967 Mustang was redesigned specifically so a big block engine could be squeezed between the fenders. Previous Mustangs were only available with a small block. This makes the '67 390 cars very sought after today. Pair that with the popular fastback body style and you've got a diamond in the rough.

And then there's the laundry list of options this Mustang came with. It's a factory GT, has a C6 automatic, limited slip 3.25 Equa-Lok rear axle, air conditioning and power steering.
The parchment interior wasn't ordered deluxe for some reason, yet has a ton of interior options; convenience control panel, courtesy light group, electric clock, lower console, tilt-away steering, AM/8 track radio, deluxe steering wheel, tachometer and deluxe seat belts.

This is definitely a Mustang worth saving.
